Help Scouts decorate Veteran graves for Memorial Day

It’s time again to help Torrington scouts decorate graves of local veterans with small American flags prior to Memorial Day. This is the 9^th year troop 3 boy scouts and pack 3 cub scouts have been raising money to honor veterans buried in greater torrington area cemeteries. Last year, they placed over 3,300 flags and they have more veteran’s to honor this year. After their annual ceremony saturday may 4^th at 10am at coe memorial park, scouts will head to city cemeteries to replace worn flags at veterans’ graves with new ones. The scouts count on the community’s generosity to buy the flags, and it’s time to help.
