Barrie Soucy

Hometown: Bristol CT.

My Radio Story: I graduated from the Connecticut School Of Broadcasting in the spring of 1989. I then moved onto WBIS radio station for a short time until the station left town. I then began volunteering at WAPJ in Torrington ct in the fall of 2006. I started hosting the Miscellaneous Morning Show in 2011 then added the role of Program Director in 2010 until 2018. I still fill in there occasionally as needed.  I joined the staff and station WZBG in August of 2024 when I was asked to join Swap Shop Sunday mornings.

Hobbies: I enjoy listening to music. I have stepped on stage a few different times to try ny hand at stand up comedy. Also hiking and fishing when I can.

Favorites: I enjoy spending time with my wife and family. Also seeing and listening to live music.

Little known fact about me:  My high game in bowling is 269

My Two Cents/Anything else:  Enjoy what you are doing whether it work, art or just living life. If it blows your hair back do it.

Tyler Bard

Hometown:  Southington Connecticut

My Radio Story:  I graduated from the CT School of Broadcasting in 2019 and had a few small fill in gigs previously, but “The Swap Shop” is my first show I’ve hosted! I’m thrilled to be working with WZBG

Hobbies:  I’m a massive theatre fan and constantly perform in the Litchfield County Musical Theatre scene. You may have seen me in productions with the Thomaston Opera House and Warner Stage Company. Aside from that I’m a Big Baseball fan and heavily enjoy music and gaming on when I have a free moment.

Favorites:  The Boston Red Sox, The New England Patriots, Professional Wrestling, NASCAR, New Haven Style Pizza, Marvel and Star Wars Movies.

Little known fact about me:  I used to stream pretty regularly on a site called Twitch. Where I played games and provided commentary to an audience who would watch me play these games. I streamed for probably a consistent two years before focusing on persuing Radio.

My Two Cents/Anything else:  My biggest piece of advice is to be kind and stay true to yourself. No matter the circumstances or situation, your feelings and thoughts are valid. Anything you want to do is achievable. You can change the world when you change your mind.
